Driver must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license and have a major credit/debit card** in their name.

Young Drivers (21-24) are subject to a $27/day Young Driver fee.

Quoted rates do not include optional insurance, taxes, the Vehicle Licensing fee, the applicable Airport Concession Recovery Fee and the Hawaii Highway Revenue surcharge ($3/day). Renters will be responsible for all charges directly to the rental location.

Daily rentals are based on a 24 hour period. Weekly rates are based on 6 or 7 consecutive days rental on one island only.

**Debit Cards: Debit cards must have either the Visa or MasterCard logo. Debit cards may only be used in conjunction with proof of round trip ticket (airline or cruise) at the time of rental. Without proof of round trip ticket, debit cards are only accepted on return. Customers using debit cards to qualify to rent at the beginning of the rental will be subject to a debit card screening, which may impact the customer's credit evaluation. If the screening fails to meet our debit card criteria, the customer will be required to present a major credit card in order to qualify to rent. A hold will be placed on all credit/debit cards for the estimated amount of the rental. Dollar will remove the hold at the end of the rental when the final charges are settled.

Late Returns: Rates are based on a 24 hour rental period. Late returns are assessed an hourly charge at a rate equal to 1/3 the daily rate up to but not exceeding the daily rate. If you return your car more than 24 hours after your reserved time, a surcharge of $10.99 per day to an maximum of $54.95 applies in addition to the rental charges for the extra day(s).

Early Returns: If you return more than 24 hours early, a $15 surcharge will be added.

Frequent Flyer Plans: If you are a member of a participating frequent flyer program, you can earn miles with your Dollar car rental.  Simply give your frequent flyer number to the agent at the car rental counter, when picking up your car.  Dollar charges a handling fee to process frequent flyer claims.

Optional Protection Plans

DOLLAR will waive a renter's responsibility for any loss or damage to a Dollar vehicle, unless the renter has not complied with the Rental Agreement. LDW is not insurance.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) provides renter with medical and death benefits in and out of the vehicle. Provides passengers with medical benefits for current incident.

Personal Effects Protection (PEP) provides some benefits for selected items that were stolen from rental vehicle.
