Approved Credit Cards

Quoted rates are subject to any applicable location taxes and do not include optional insurance, Renters will be responsible for all charges directly to the rental location.

Daily rentals are based on a 24 hour period. Weekly rates are based on 5 - 7 consecutive days rental on one island only.

**Debit Cards: Debit cards must have either the Visa or MasterCard logo. Debit cards may only be used in conjunction with proof of round trip ticket (airline or cruise) at the time of rental. Without proof of round trip ticket, debit cards are only accepted on return. Customers using debit cards to qualify to rent at the beginning of the rental will be subject to a debit card screening, which may impact the customer's credit evaluation. If the screening fails to meet our debit card criteria, the customer will be required to present a major credit card in order to qualify to rent. A hold will be placed on all credit/debit cards for the estimated amount of the rental. Thrifty will remove the hold at the end of the rental when the final charges are settled.

Late Returns: Rates are based on a 24 hour rental period. Late returns are assessed an hourly charge at a rate equal to 1/3 the daily rate up to but not exceeding the daily rate. If you return your car more than 24 hours after your reserved time, a surcharge of $10.99 per day to an maximum of $54.95 applies in addition to the rental charges for the extra day(s).

Early Returns: If you return more than 24 hours early, a $15 surcharge will be added.

Frequent Flyer Plans: If you are a member of a participating frequent flyer program, you can earn miles with your Thrifty car rental. Simply give your frequent flyer number to the agent at the car rental counter, when picking up your car. Thrifty charges a handling fee to process frequent flyer claims.

At the time of rental, Thrifty offers for purchase at the option of the renter, Loss Damage Waiver ("LDW"), Personal Protection Plan ("PPP"), Protection Plus ("PP"), Personal Accident Insurance ("PAI"), Personal Effects Insurance ("PEI"), Supplemental Liability Insurance ("SLI") and Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Protection ("UMP"). The cost, coverage, provider and availability vary by location, vehicle category and rate.

The optional products offered by the rental company may duplicate coverage provided by your personal automobile insurance or insurance you may have through another source. Purchase of optional products is not required to rent the vehicle. Separate brochures available at the rental location summarize the optional products.

Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) - $26.99/day

if you purchase the optional LDW Plan, we will waive your responsibility for loss or damage to the vehicle in full or in part (depending on the LDW plan you accept).

Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) - 13.99/day

SLI provides the renter or any additional authorized driver listed in the rental agreement  with automobile liability coverage against third party claims for bodily injury, including death, and property damage resulting from an automobile accident.

Personal Protection Package (PPP) - $5.45/day
Minivan and Specialty - $8.45

Personal Protection Plan ("PPP") includes Personal Accident Insurance ("PAI") and Personal Effects Insurance ("PEI"). Where offered, they must be purchased together.

Uninsured Motorist Protection (UMP) - $6.95/day

Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Protection ("UMP") is a companion product to Supplemental Liability Insurance ("SLI.") UMP provides coverage for injuries and damages caused by an owner or driver of an uninsured or underinsured third party vehicle. UMP can only be purchased with SLI.
