The Big Island's volcanic underwater topography is a diver's wonderland. Lava
tubes, bommies, arches and huge craters like “Au Au Crater,” create a
spectacular backdrop for Hawaii’s many indigenous species of buttlerfly fish.
Photographers will delight in the many patient subjects like Spanish Dancers,
turtles, mantas and frogfish
Aloha Dive Company - Avoid the
"cattle boat" dives Dive where few have gone before Have access to all the
dive sites of the Big Island, not just the 40 common sites along the Kona
Coast--the possibilities are endless! See the endemic marine species of
Hawaii--ideal for the advanced photographer and great for divers of all
variety and experience Experience a unique adventure in 6,000 feet of water in
a Blue Water Dive.
Big Island Divers - provides
you with the opportunity to enjoy a custom built dive boat for intimate reef
encounters. In May 2002 "Moana Lu'u" took her maiden voyage and we knew right
away she would be a winner. We are sure you will agree with our many friends
who return year after year, that this is what diving is all about.
Dive Makai - located on the Kona
Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, caters to the discriminating diver seeking
to grasp an understanding of the richness and incredible variety of our
underwater world. Through our extensive briefings, our slow, slow underwater
pace, our encyclopedia of hand signs, and our ability to recognize and
communicate rare and unusual animals and behaviors, we turn what might be
"ordinary" dives into a fascinating and often humorous photo of daily life on
the reef.
Jack's
Diving Locker - Our boat dives explore over 80 different dive sites along
the Kona Coast. Whether you're looking for the world famous Manta Night Dive,
or an Advanced trip to explore some of the local favorites, we can take you
there. If boats make you 'sick'... or you're just looking for an adventure on
your own, Hawaii has excellent shore diving. Pick up some tanks and strike out
on your own, or you join us on a guided dive.
Kohala Divers - Don't think of
Hawaii's Big Island as merely an island. Think of it as an oasis of diversity.
Variation abounds here - our island has over 40 ethnic cultures, ranges over
21 climate zones, and spans over 4,000 square miles. But let's not talk about
the land, because the ocean is calling and underwater is where we will take
you.
Kona Coast Divers - Once
reserved for a select few, Kona Coast Divers is pleased to invite you aboard
for a night dive you'll never forget. Manta Rays with 8-10 foot wing spans
begin to circle the group and you realize that this is one of the most
fantastic things you have ever seen!
Mauna Kea Divers - So, you
brought your family to Hawaii, and you want to take them somewhere really
special! Take them on the "Island Voyager" for a trip they will never forget!
You can Snorkel, Sea Breathe, Scuba, get certified, or just try diving with an
instructor.
Pacific Rim Divers
Limited - Join us in an intimate exploration of Hawaii's spectacular
underwater world. Leave the crowds behind as our experienced crew introduces
you to the uniqueness of diving on the Kona Coast. Our goal has always been to
provide our guests with professional and informative service while maintaining
a relaxed atmosphere
Rainbow Diver - The wing
span of the near-shore Pacific Manta Ray averages 5 to 8 feet but can reach
well over 14! They have no real teeth, no stinger, and a harmless disposition.
Their only defense is to flee.
Sandwich Isle Divers
- Our calm waters and the wide variety of diving opportunities entice scuba
divers of every caliber. The Big Island was rated as the top dive destination
in the 1998 Rodale's Scuba Diving Reader's Choice Awards, and we can show you
why!
Kona
Aggressor II - scuba itinerary is Saturday-to-Saturday with five and
one-half days of diving. Guests may board Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Dinner is
served on board Saturday evening followed by the Captain’s briefing. Friday
afternoon, the Kona Aggressor II returns to Kailua-Kona Bay.
Under Water
Adventures Hawaii - I am a Padi and Naui instructor and began teaching
in 1988. Operating our own charter business allows us to pamper our
customers and "do things differently." I enjoy sharing the unique "critters"
and exploring the underwater arches and lava tubes found on the Kona coast
of Hawaii. My other joy is teaching and helping others become proficient and
well informed divers.
